Installing VS Code on Mac

To install VS Code on Mac, follow these simple steps:

● Go to the official Visual Studio Code website:


https://code.visualstudio.com/download.
● You will be redirected to this page .

● Click on the "Download for Mac" button. This will start the download of the
Visual Studio Code disk image file (.dmg).

● Once the download is complete, open the downloaded file (usually located in
your Downloads folder). You can do this by double-clicking on the .dmg file.

● A new window will open with the Visual Studio Code application icon and a
shortcut to the Applications folder. Drag the Visual Studio Code icon to the
Applications folder to install it on your Mac. You can also drag the shortcut to
your Dock if you want easy access to the application.

● After the installation is complete, you can open Visual Studio Code from the
Applications folder. You can launch it from Spotlight Search by pressing Cmd
+ Space and typing "Visual Studio Code" in the search bar.
● If you are prompted with a warning that the application is from an unidentified
developer, you can right-click on the Visual Studio Code icon and select
"Open" to bypass the warning. You only need to do this the first time you open
the application.

● Once Visual Studio Code is open, you can start customizing it to your
preferences and begin working on your projects!
