a) Write the transfer characteristic equation.

4. In the circuit shown below figure 3, C = 0.1µF, R = 10KΩ, Rf = 1000Ω, Rr = ∞ and
Vr = 0. The input is symmetrical square wave of frequency 1 kHz operating between the

levels -150V and -100V and beginning at -150V at t=0. Assuming that the capacitor is
initially uncharged, Determine and plot the wave form of v0 from t=0 through the first
few cycles during which the diode conducts. Label all voltage levels. [15]
