a. For each of the following topologies state two advantages and two disadvantages and
suggest the most appropriate among them.

b. Briefly explain the concept of Nyquist theory [4Marks]

c. A telephone system with modem allows bandwidth of 3100 Hz. Using Nyquist theory

(a) As a network architect, what factors do you consider when choosing a topology for a

(b) Magunas supermarket wants to install a new POS (point of sale) system supporting 3
terminals and residing in 1 server. They have contacted you to install the POS. in order to
install the POS, the supermarket needs a LAN network. Explain LAN installation
process. [10 marks]
