IMPORTANT COMPONENTS OF COOLING TOWER

The various components of the “TOWERTECH” Cooling Towers are as under:

Casing: The Casing Enclosing the PVC Fills Serves to Isolate Air Stream, Which Passes
Over the Fills. The Casing is designed to Withstand Loads up to 75 Km/Hr, and Vibration
Emanating from the Motor and other Equipments. FRP Casing has the high Impact
Resistance and Even if Damaged is easily Repairable at site. With Proper Surface
Treatments using Neopenta Glycol and Imported Wax Release Agent, It Retains Colors for
Longer Periods Even When Exposed to Direct Sunlight. The Casing is in Sections of Easy to
Handle Sizes and can be assembled at site using Bolting Joints. The shape of Casing is Ideal
with regard to Cooling Efficiency and space economy.

Sump: The Basin serves the purpose of Collecting the water descending from the Fills and
channeling it to the Suction Point. Further the Basin is also act as a Reservoir of water. The
Basin is also made of FRP and has similar characteristics as the casing.

Tower Structure: The structure of the tower supports the Casing, Basin and Motor
Mountings Frame for sustaining and transmitting the loads to the foundations. These are of
M.S. and Hot Dipped Galvanized as to resist corrosion.

Fills: The fills section is designed to bring intimate contact of

water and air so as to facilitate heat and mass transfer at the
same time aiding in proper and even distribution of air and water
over the cross section, while maintaining minimum pressure drop.
The fills are of Honeycomb Section and are vacuum formed from
PVC for excellent resistance to corrosion and give maximum area
of wattage.

Water Distrubution Header: Galvanized Iron fabricated pipe with FRP coating
structure with nonclogging type ABS plastic nozzles are used to distribute the water evenly
over the cross section of the Tower.

Fan: The Aluminum Alloy Fan Is Gravity Die Cast. It Is an Axial

Flow, Multi blade Version with Aero Foil Blade Section and
Adjustable Blade Pitch. The Fan Is Designed To Deliver Large
Volumes Of Air At Low Power Consumption And Low Noise
Generation. The Fans Are Dynamically Balanced For Smooth
Operation, Longer Bearing And More Life Including That Of The
Supporting Structure.

Fan Drive Motor: The fan drive motor is in IP: 55 weather proof design the fan is directly
driven by the special extended shaft motor made from EN8 steel mounted facing downward
on a mounting frame on the top of the Cooling Tower.

Grills: Inlet Grills and Outlet Grills in MSHDG are provided to

prevent contaminants like leaves, birds’ etc. entering the Cooling
Tower.

Drift Eliminators: The sprayed water for the towers using

stationary nozzles. A full width eliminator covering the full cross
section is used. The shape of the eliminator is chosen to minimize
pressure loss of air and to strip the maximum amount of entrained droplets.

Sprinkler: The Gravity Die Cast Aluminum Alloy

Sprinkler is used to distribute the Water Evenly over the
Cross Section of the Tower. An Aluminum Alloy Rotary
Head With Radial PVC Pipes Having Drilled Holes Serves
This Purpose. The Rotation Of The Assembly Is
Accomplished Due To Reaction Of Water Jet Being
Sprayed From The PVC Pipes. The Sprinkler Head Is
Mounted On top Of The Central Water Supply Pipe. To
Reduce Frictional Resistance and to Ensure Free Rotation
Even at Low Flows the Sprinkler Has Two Sealed Pre
lubricated Ball Bearings Mounted on the Central Shaft.
This System Is Followed Up To 300 TR Only

SALES TAX:

G ST VAT @ 5% OR CST @ 2% Against “C “Form for out side Gujarat Client, to be submit/released the
“C” from along with Purchase Order/Balance Payment. Incase of Not Available of “C” form @10 Taxes
Extra.

DELIVERY:

The Cooling Tower shall be fully manufactured and ready for final inspection within 3 to 4 Weeks from
the date of receipt of confirmed order along with advance payment.

We will arrange for Loading at our factory, Clients will arrange unloading at site. Our responsibility
ceases once the goods have left our Factory/Go down/Place of manufacture and handed over to
carriers.

TERMS OF PAYMENT:

Advance Payment @ 40%, Balance against Performa Invoice prior to dispatch.

Subject to the Terms of Payment punctually complied with and the equipment, being operated
properly, TOWERTECH warrantees the equipment for the period of 12 months from the date of
dispatch at any site of INDIA.

EXCLUSION WORK (BY PURCHASER)

* Foundation with Foundation bolt (Confirming to our Drawing), R C C Water Basin as per
requirement (Incase of WITHOUT BASIN Cooling Tower) Necessary Civil Work etc
(Incase of any problems for under stand the foundation work, please consult with your
Engineering team (Civil/ Mechanical Engineers)
* Standard Make Primary Monoblock Pump set & If Required Secondary Monoblock Pump set
with proper selection of pump with head, pressure, and size of suction discharge pipelines.
* Pipe Line from cooling tower to process forth and back along with required valves, pipe fitting
etc.
* Electrical Cable (Three Phases), Starter from Isolated Main Switch to our Electric Motor
* Kindly carry out the installation job with in 2-month times to avoid losses of resins and
then after required the same at your cost as well as arrange by you locally.
* Allot the dust free and maximum fresh air available area for installation of cooling tower for
proper/perfect efficiency.
