COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to equip medical laboratory sciences students with the basic
concepts of medical Parasitology and general laboratory diagnosis of parasitic diseases of human importance.
COURSE OBJECTIVES: At the end of this course the students will be able to describe the morphology,
classification, clinical features, pathogenesis, laboratory diagnosis and prevention and control measures of
parasites.
