book summary
Harry Potter is a special kid who's been fascinated by magic since he was little. His parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Dursley, haven't made things easy for him because he was the child of the his aunt petunia's
sister and she don’t like her . His brother Dudley bullies him all the time. Harry gets in trouble because
of Dudley and live in a little room under the stairs of the second floors and live a unhealthy life. And
then he starts getting these weird letters from a anonymous person . Hagrid, a huge guy, takes Harry
to this magical word and helps to start Hogwarts.

When school starts, Harry realizes that his Potions teacher, Snape, doesn't like him. Hagrid tells him
not to worry about Snape. They find out about a dog guarding something called the Sorcerer's Stone,
which can make you live forever and give you lots of money. The stone belongs to Dumbledore's old
friend, Nicolas Flamel.

One day, Hagrid wins a dragon egg in a card game. Harry, Ron, and Hermione try to help get rid of
the dragon, but they get caught. They get punished and sent to forbidden forest , and their house ,
Gryffindor, loses a ton of points. They also go into the forest with Hagrid to find out who's been killing
unicorns. Harry sees a hooded guy drinking unicorn blood, but a friendly centaur saves him and tells
him it's Voldemort.

Harry decides he needs to find the stone before Voldemort does. He, Ron, and Hermione sneak into a
forbidden corridor and face lots of dangers. Harry finally confronts Quirrell, who wants to kill him.
Quirrell makes Harry look into a mirror that shows your deepest desires. Harry sees himself with the
stone in his pocket, and he actually feels it there.

Then Voldemort shows up on the back of Quirrell's head. He wants Quirrell to kill Harry, but Quirrell
gets burned when he touches Harry. They fight, and Harry passes out.

When he wakes up, Dumbledore tells him he saved him just in time. They decide to destroy the stone.
At the end-of-year party, Gryffindor wins the house cup because of Harry and his friends' bravery.
As the story wraps up, Dumbledore shows that making good choices is what makes you a hero. He
decides to destroy the stone instead of using it, showing his wisdom. Harry's choice to see his parents
in the mirror, because of his love for them, shows he's on the right path to being a hero. And
Voldemort stays the bad guy, proving Harry's grown as a hero by sticking to his beliefs and making the
right choices.
