VERB TO BE
SUBJECT + WAS (I, He, She, It)/ WERE (You and plural subject)
e.g. I was ill last week
He was at the hospital
They were at the office
You were in my class when we were young
SUBJECT + VERB (irregular verbs have their own form; regular verbs add -ed to form the past
simple. The verb form is the same for singular and plural person)
e.g. I went to Paris last year
You ate a cake yesterday irregular verbs

*Note: If the verb ends with -e, we add only -d ( not -ed) e.g. Live......lived.
DID + SUBJECT + VERB (infinitive) e.g. Did you clean the house?
