To encourage students to critically analyze the life and
works of Dr. Jose Rizal and apply their understanding by
creatively comparing Rizal's characteristics, values, and
impact to a contemporary individual they personally know.
Select a Modern-Day Individual: Choose someone from your
personal life, such as a family member, friend, teacher,
community leader, or any individual you admire, who
exhibits qualities and characteristics reminiscent of Dr. Jose
Rizal. This person should possess values and traits that align
with Rizal's legacy, such as patriotism, advocacy for change,
intellectual prowess, cultural awareness, and more.
Research: Conduct thorough research on Dr. Jose Rizal's life,
writings, and impact. Understand his contributions to
Philippine society, his advocacy for reforms, and his overall
philosophy.
Identify Parallels: Identify the key similarities and parallels
between your chosen modern-day individual and Dr. Jose
Rizal. How do their values, actions, and impact align? What
contributions have they made to their community or society
that reflect Rizal's ideals?
Write the Article: Compose a creative and engaging feature
article that highlights the comparisons between your chosen
individual and Dr. Jose Rizal. Your article should not only
