Transport Infrastructure Development Roadmap


for Metro Manila and its Surrounding Areas (Region III and IV-A)

This serves as guide in the


development of policies, and
prioritization and design of
programs and projects on
transport infrastructure.

realize synergy, and improve
coordination among relevant
agencies on transport projects in
Metro Manila and its environs in
the short-term, medium-term,
and long-term.

Master Plan on High Standard Highway (HSH) Network Development

This is formulated to provide high level of service


(LOS) and reliable means of transportation and
develop an economic corridor by connecting
major urban centers to strategic development
areas of the southern and northern regions of the
country.
MASTERPLANS AND ROADMAPS WILL BE UPDATED

Survey on Mindanao Logistics Infrastructure Network (SMLIN)

This aims to: (i) maximize the utilization of the


Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT) to become the
node of logistics and the center of economic
development in Northern and Central Mindanao; (ii)
identify areas for improvement in agricultural logistics
using MCT; and (iii) recommend prospective Official
Development Assistance (ODA) projects geared
towards improvement in Phividec Industrial Authority
(PIA)-MCT's capacity and improvement in the
logistics infrastructure for cost-effective linking of
Mindanao's agriculture and fishery production
centers to markets within the region, the rest of the
country and abroad. The coverage area of the
SMLIN (the Survey) revolve around the ports located
at five (5) major trading centers, namely: Cagayan
de Oro, Butuan, Surigao, General Santos, and Davao
cities.

Philippine Transportation Systems Master Plan

A master plan formulated based on a detailed assessment of the existing national


transport network and the results of a comprehensive analysis of the gaps therein,
to:

• Guide the rational development of an intermodal transport network in the


country through coordinated planning and operation of projects and
programs as an integrated network of intermodal sub-systems

• Promote sub-regional economic cooperation/agglomeration and utilization of


multimodal transport system for more efficient connectivity between
industrial/production areas, major cities, and rural areas
