N2 – 66%, CH4 – 1%, and H2O – 5%. Find: (i)The average molecular weight of the gas mixture
(ii) Weight % and (iii) density of the gas mixture at 30C and 1 atm.
22. The analysis by weight of magnesite ore yields 81% MgCO3, 14% SiO2 and 5% H2O. Calculate
the i) composition by mole %. ii) Average molecular weight.
23. Caustic soda flakes obtained from a manufacturer are found to contain 60ppm silica (SiO2).

Find the normality and molality of the solution.
28. The density of an aqueous 25% by weight NaCl solution at 4C is 1.55 g/cm3 i) Calculate the
mole fraction of sodium chloride and normality of the solution.
