TAIL EMBROIDERY
With yellow yarn.

Embroider three lines on the tail and sew the tail to

the back of the body:

Step 1.

Thread a needle with an arm’s length of yarn. Insert
the needle through the center of the magic ring
and pull it out one round up, centered between
rounds 1 and 2 on one side. Leave a 6-inch yarn tail.

Step 2.

Insert the needle in the middle of the stitch’s V two
rounds up, in round 3, centered directly above the
hole it just came out of. Pull the needle out one
stitch to the right between rounds 1 and 2 of the
first line.

Step 3.

Insert the needle one round up, between rounds 2
and 3. Pull the needle out one stitch to the left
between rounds 1 and 2 of the first line.

Step 4.

Insert the needle one round up between rounds 2
and 3. Flip the tail over and pull the needle out the
hole centered between rounds 1 and 2 on the other
side.

Step 5.

Repeat steps 2 -3.

Step 6.

Insert the needle one round up between rounds 2
and 3. Pull the needle out of the same hole in the
body that it originally went into, so that both yarn
tails are coming out of the same hole.

Step 7.

Tie a knot with both yarn tails, as close to the edge

of the fin as possible without pulling the lines too

tight. Hide the yarn tails.

Step 8.
