SECTION A
BIM EXECUTION PLAN
OVERVIEW
KT-School
A detailed BIM project implementation plan has been developed for KT-SCHOOL in the New
Administrative Capital, Cairo, Egypt.

The BIM Execution Plan (BXP) outlines the uses of BIM for this project, including design authoring,
design coordination, facility management, cost estimation, and energy optimization. It also
provides a comprehensive overview of the design process and BIM implementation throughout all
project phases.

The identified BIM uses align with the project’s goals based on the expected outcomes. Accordingly,
BIM design process maps and information exchange procedures were established to ensure
progress and alignment with the team’s objectives for implementing BIM in KAITECH Schools.

The primary goal is to enhance the overall efficiency of the school by analyzing all systems,
generating new ideas, and reviewing alternative solutions. Design alternatives were strategically
chosen to improve coordination, optimize resource utilization, and achieve discipline-specific
redesign.

These tools are designed to specify the information requirements for each BIM use and to clearly
define responsibilities, serving as a roadmap for collaborative efforts.

To meet the project’s objectives, the phases, milestones, and associated deadlines, including the
final delivery date of March 14, 2025, were meticulously planned.

2- Information Classification Standards

Information classification standards are frameworks used to categorize data based

on its sensitivity, value, and the level of protection it requires. These standards are
critical for ensuring proper data handling, security, and compliance with
regulations. Common classifications include:

1. Public: Information that can be freely shared without restrictions.

2. Internal: Data meant for use within an organization but not sensitive.
3. Confidential: Sensitive information requiring access controls, such as
personal data.
4. Restricted: Highly sensitive data that requires maximum security, like
trade secrets or classified information

BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING PROJECT E XECUTION PLAN

VERSION 2.0 35
KT-School
Classification typically involves the following steps:

Identification: Understanding the type of information.

Assessment: Evaluating the sensitivity and impact of exposure.

Categorization: Assigning a classification level.

Application of Controls: Implementing safeguards appropriate to the

classification level.

A- Element Classification

Element classification refers to categorizing elements within a system, model,

or project based on predefined criteria. In the context of construction, design,
or digital modeling, it involves organizing building elements (e.g., walls, doors,
HVAC systems) according to their function, material, or system type. Standards
like OmniClass or UniFormat are often used in this domain.

Key benefits of element classification include:

Enhanced organization and searchability of data.

Improved collaboration across disciplines.
Simplified integration with digital tools and workflows.
