Verbos “Like”, “Love” y “Enjoy”

Estos verbos expresan gusto o disfrute y van seguidos de un


verbo en -ing (gerundio).

✅ Estructura:
Like / Love / Enjoy + verbo en -ing

🔹 Ejemplos:
​ •​ I like swimming. (Me gusta nadar.)
​ •​ She loves dancing. (A ella le encanta bailar.)
​ •​ We enjoy watching movies. (Disfrutamos ver
películas.)

⚠ Nota: “Like” también puede ir con to + verbo, pero el


significado cambia ligeramente:

​ •​ I like to swim. (Me gusta nadar en general, es mi


preferencia.)
​ •​ I like swimming. (Disfruto el acto de nadar.)

2. Verbos “Would like” y “Want”

Estos verbos expresan deseos o intenciones y van seguidos de


“to” + verbo en infinitivo.

✅ Estructura:
Would like / Want + to + verbo en infinitivo
🔹 Ejemplos:
​ •​ I want to travel next year. (Quiero viajar el próximo
año.)
​ •​ She would like to visit Paris. (A ella le gustaría visitar
París.)

⚠ Diferencia entre “want” y “would like”:

​ •​ Want es más directo: “I want to eat pizza” (Quiero


comer pizza).
​ •​ Would like es más educado y formal: “I would like to
eat pizza” (Me gustaría comer pizza).
