RAN Troubleshooting Guidelines 1
RAN Troubleshooting Guidelines 1
ask integrator to check power config in the specified cell in case of mixed mode then follow
below steps:
1-check that correct type of radio is connected
Troubleshooting 2-check RF ports and Ri ports are connected properly
Guidelines 3-restart the radio
alarm indicates the specific RF port on the RRU that has vswr issue
follow below steps to check and clear vswr alarm on that RF port:
1-check jumper cable is not damaged
2-check jumper cable connected properly from RU side and from antenna side, change
jumper cable if there is a damage on it
3-if vswr value still high then ask integration team to lock the RU then switch the jumper
cable from the specific RF port to another RF in the RU,
and then unlock the RU and check the new value of vswr if it still on same RF port in the RU
then RU RF port has an issue and need to change the RU,
but if the issue is transferred to another RF port then need to check corresponding antenna
port (if there is any physical issue found in antenna port then need to change the antenna)
and change jumpers from antenna side from + to - and vice versa then check new vswr value
Troubleshooting if the issue still on same port then change the jumper but if vswr value transferred to
Guidelines another RF port then the antenna need to be changed

Alarming Object AntennaNearUnit=RET4
Specific Problem No Connection
Event Type equipmentAlarm
Problem Text Contact lost with resource object
RET alarm indicating that connection is lost with RET, follow below steps to check and clear
it:
1-check RET cable connection between antenna port and RRU as defined in the design or SID
Troubleshooting 2-make sure RET cable is connected to ALD port in the RRU and AISG port in the antenna
Guidelines 3-if the problem persist change RET cable with another RET cable
indoor RAP no connection alarm is indicating that radio dot is not connected
1- check ethernet cable connected from RD to corresponding Riport in the IRU as per design
or SID
2- check IRU cables are connected correctly to the BB unit
Troubleshooting 3- make sure ethernet cables are clamped with proper tools and cables are tested and check
Guidelines the grounding connection is existing
