1.0 Purpose: To establish a procedure of Intermediate Checks to ensure the


accuracy of all equipments are accepted under NABL accreditation.
2.0 Scope: The scope of this procedure is to cover all the instruments in the
laboratory decided for NABL accreditation.

3.0 Procedure

3.1 All the instruments are covered under scope is decided to check the
accuracy/MU of the instruments and make the plan for it, at least once
in a 3 months.
3.2 Check the Accuracy/MU of instruments with the frequency of 3 months.
3.3 Accuracy of instruments to be checked after Maintenance of the
equipment.
3.4 Accuracy/MU will be checked either by other equipment or by retained
sample.
3.5 Acceptance Criteria will be Measurement Uncertainty if checked by
retained sample.
3.6 Acceptance Criteria will be Accuracy if checked by other Equipment.
3.7 Make the report .
3.8 If Accuracy is as per acceptance criteria or met the requirements then
accept the instruments for further use.
3.9 If Acceptance criteria is not achieved or do not met with requirement
then take corrective action or reject the equipment.
3.10 Intermediate check may be done if equipment seems to be
suspended.

4.0 Responsibilities :

Technical Manager will be responsible for all activities.
