Civil Defence Volunteers SOP

This SOP is designed specifically for those who want to join in the Civil Defence
Volunteers through MY Bharat Portal.
It is a step by step guide for registered users and first time users of MY Bharat to show
how they can enroll in it.

Step 1 Navigate to the Sign In Page

● Visit mybharat.gov.in
● Click on Join Civil Defence option from the top menu
● Alternatively, you can also click on this banner on the MY Bharat Home

Note: MYB Users can Login in two ways Login with password or with OTP

Step 3 View the Join Civil Defence Form

The above shown is the form filling application for enrolment as a member of the Civil Defence Service

Step 4 Fill Basic Details

● In the form fill in details as

per the best of your
knowledge:
- Father’s/Husband’s Name
- Mobile Number

● Below details are Auto

filled
- Full Name
- Gender
- DOB
- Email id

Step 5 Fill Address & Nationality Select the appropriate from
Occupation list:
Self-Employed
Business Owner / Entrepreneur
Daily Wage Worker / Casual
Labour
Unemployed
Student
Homemaker
Retired / Senior Citizen
Farmer
Salaried (Private sector)
Salaried (Government Employee)
Doctor/Health care professional
Retired (police/defence)
Driver
Others
In the form fill in the following details as per the best of your knowledge:
- Select your nationality
- Enter your Permanent Address and Present Address
- Tik on the box the Same as permanent address check box, if your current address is same.

Step 6 Fill Employer’s Details

Enter the Name & Address of

Present Employer:
- Name & Address of Present

- Educational Qualification
- Languages Known (Tick on
proficiency levels which
includes read, write, speak)
- To add more languages click
on the +Add Language button

Step 7 Are you a member? Tick on the box

At this stage of the form, please read the question below carefully and tick the relevant
boxes that apply to you: Are you a member of any of the following?

Step 8 Answer the Questions Asked

Click the Radio Button on the correct

answer either Yes or No for all the questions
asked, as shown in the image.

Step 9 Write Relevant Answers

● As can be seen in the

image, there are 3
questions at this part of the
form which needs to be
answered. Applicants are
supposed to write the
relevant answers in the
given boxes, mandatorily.

Note: Multiple days can be selected by the user from the dropdown

Step 10 Write Relevant Answers

● Tick on the correct

answer either Yes or No
for all the questions
asked, as shown in the
image.

Step 11 Complete the form & Proceed

Tick on the answer to the question asked.

Enter Your Name and Click on the Next Button

Step 12 Declaration Form
● Read the declaration carefully, then
click Save Application to complete
this step.

● If you want to go back click on Prev

Once you click on

Save Application the
status will be
updated to Applied.

Step 13 Successfully registered
● Once your application is processed, a
popup will appear.
● Click Yes or No to submit the form &
confirm to proceed.

● You have successfully registered.

Step 2 Access the Sign Up Form

● Visit mybharat.gov.in
● Click on Join Civil Defence

Step 3 Enter Credentials and Verify

● Enter your Mobile Number or ● Enter the received OTP

Email ID ● Click on Verify OTP
● Click on Get OTP

Step 4 Fill in the Sign Up Form Fields
1. Fill in the following details:
● First Name
● Last Name
● Password
● Date of Birth
● Gender
● State
● District
● Specify local body as
Urban/Rural
● Select Local Body
● Pincode
● Select Youth Type
1. Tick the T&C Checkbox
2. Click Submit

Step 5 Fill the Join Civil Defence Form

After submitting the Sign Up form, you will be redirected to the Civil Defence form
page. Please fill the form as explained in the steps from Slides 7 to 16.
