WPS Format

This document is a Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) that specifies the requirements for a gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) procedure. It details the base metals, filler metals, joint details, welding positions, preheat and post weld heat treatment requirements, shielding gas, and electrical parameters to be used. The WPS applies to the groove welding of steel pipe with a thickness range of all sizes using a GTAW process with a tungsten electrode and argon gas shielding. Post weld heat treatment is not required.
