DataPower Overview

Brief Description:

IBM® WebSphere DataPower Integration Appliance XI52 is a non-disruptive network device that provides common
message transformation, integration and routing functions on a single platform. It is a purpose-built hardware device that is
easier-to-deploy, highly scalable and helps reduce IT complexity, lower operational costs and improve performance.

Device Features and Capacity:

The current DataPower hardware 71XX platforms (7198 and 7199) offer both 1U and 2U appliances. The size of a piece of
rack-mounted equipment is frequently described as a number in "U". For example, one rack unit is often referred to as "1U",
2 rack units as "2U" and so on.

• Probes to collect data from DataPower boxes at a customizable refresh interval. Default interval 60 seconds.
• As XML proxy port 5550 is not utilized by other services, the resource utilization on DataPower boxes is minimal.
• No additional consumption of DP resources.
