The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Library and Archives
established in 1972 is a special library which serves as the national repository of
Filipiniana and foreign books as well as non-book materials on arts and culture,
history, and the humanities. CCP Library and Archives had published several
worthy publications namely, Lahi-a semi-annual literary journal; Pamana – a
monthly cultural magazine; Gantimpala – a book on theater plays and the ten
volume Union Catalog on Philippine Culture consisting of the seven art forms –
architecture, dance, film, literature, music, theater and visual arts which became
one of the most useful guides and highly regarded reference material in locating
important source materials in the study of Philippine arts and culture.
Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) - a database system for the storage and
retrieval of bibliographic information about the library collection—books, periodicals, audio-
visual materials, special materials such as calendars, maps, photos, posters, slides, and
ephemeral materials such as clippings, brochures, pamphlets, etc. including born digital
and digitized resources available at the CCP Library and Archives; and at the same time a
web-based search engine to provide users an easy way to search for available resources
in the library without necessarily going personally to the CCP Library and Archives for
research and study purposes. Digital content (documents in PDF, images in JPG or PNG
file format) if available, can be viewed or downloaded easily from the web browser.
