Past – present mixed conditional sentence
refers to an unreal past condition and its

If Mario had worked until night, he would be
sick.
If she had won the lottery, she would be rich.
Present - past mixed conditional sentence
refers to an unreal present situation and its

probable but unreal past result. In these mixed
conditional sentences, the time in the if clause
is now or always and the time in the main
clause is before now.

If + past simple, perfect conditional

If I were you, I would have bought the red dress.
If the teacher were here, she would have

Past – future mixed conditional sentence

happen in the past if it from the future or the
use for this type is for make an excuse.
