story
of Orpheus and Eurydice by
filling in
the blanks. Write your answers on

-There has only been one mortal whose skill at playing the lyre
compared with the skill of the god of music, 1)_______________
and that mortal’s name was Orpheus.
– Now Orpheus had fallen in love with a woman named

– There was a wedding, a magnificent wedding, but all through the
wedding ceremony the candles and the lamps in the temple gave

– The very next morning Eurydice woke up early and went outside.

LITERARY DEVICE
Orpheus and Eurydice is one of the many stories that use a
literary device that made readers anticipate the events as
they read. You will learn about this literary device in this lesson.
This lesson is divided into four sections:

ANALYZE:
Think of a movie/ anime/ Netflix series you have watched
wherein foreshadowing is effectively used. Identify one or more
scenes. Then, determine which kind of foreshadowing
technique they belong, and how such affected the movie
plot.
-You have to do this individually.
-You can be creative in this activity. You
can draw/ make a poster of the
scene/s with an explanation, film a
short vlog, write a song, etc. , or just
simply a short paragraph.
YOU WILL BE GRADED USING THIS RUBRIC:
– Correctness (10) – The scenes identified are examples
of foreshadowing.
– Explanation (10) – The explanation is clear and
elaborate.
