17. Puff Pastry Pizza Wheels
Ingredients
- 1 17.3 oz package Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets
- ¼ cup pizza sauce (Easy Homemade Pizza Sauce)
- 1 cup Italian cheese blend, finely grated
- 30 – 40 pepperonis, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- parsley
- 4 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
Italian seasoning :
- 2 tablespoons oregano
- 2 tablespoons basil
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- ½ teaspoon rosemary
Instruction
- To make italian seasoning : In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Mix well. Store in an airtight container.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Unfold the puff pastry sheets and place them on a floured surface.
- Spoon pizza sauce onto the puff pastry sheets.
- Sprinkle cheese on top of the pizza sauce.
- Place the sliced pepperonis on top of the cheese.
- Sprinkle with parsley (optional).
- Roll the puff pastry sheets into a log.
- Brush the logs with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian Seasoning.
- With a sharp knife, slice each log into 12 wheels.
- Place the wheels on the lined baking sheets and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
