The tag information=visitor_centre is added to tourism=information to map a visitor centre or visitor information centre: a physical location that provides tourist information to visitors about a specific attraction or place of interest.

A visitor centre is not the same as a information=office. A visitor centre offers information about a specific attraction or place of interest where it is located and to which it is usually associated (e.g., a national park or a historic site), while the tourist office offers more general tourist information about a city or region.
