oneway=no is used to explicitly show that a way is not one way.

It is usually not needed except in some cases :

  • on a bidirectionnal cycle way next to a one-way street and mapped separately (highway=cycleway)
  • to avoid mapping errors in areas where e.g. oneway streets are common
  • to override defaults.
