OSM differs between cycle lanes and cycle tracks. A cycle lane lies within the roadway itself (on-road), whereas a cycle track is separate from the road (off-road). Tracks are typically separated from the road by e.g. curbs, parking lots, grass verges, trees, etc. For general information see Bicycle.
The tag sets given below
- assume a consistent interpretation of all oneway related tags, unaffixed or not.
- are interpreted solely based on the direction of the osm way which is given by the order of its node list.
- refer to the left side location of a subject walking forward from first to last way node, for :left suffixed keys
- .. and respectively to the right side location for :right suffixed keys
