Resolved

Hello. Why do you change "Image:" to "File:"? Both are correct aliases and the result is the same. Or am I wrong? It's like {Tag} and {Key} template - they are exactly the same. Moreover, I think "Update image" isn't a proper summary because it suggests you're changing an image. maro21 21:43, 8 September 2023 (UTC)

@Maro21: It's a simple cleanup, see https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Category:Obsolete_image_file_naming. I will think of a better comment though, thanks for the hint. Kjon (talk) 07:46, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
But what are you editing this for? "Image:" isn't incorrect or obsolete in any way. It doesn't change anything. maro21 21:20, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
  • There is still no concrete answer to the user: maro21. This is as senseless an action as in other cases. --HaPe-CZ (talk) 17:35, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
The conversation was resolved by this edit, adding clarifying information to the respective cleanup category. Kjon (talk) 19:55, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

bunker silo

Moin

happy mapping :)

Template:ElementUsageLang

Hi, could you also update these translations [1], which I've recently changed? Thanks in advance! maro21 15:26, 18 February 2024 (UTC)

done Kjon (talk) 15:36, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
What I meant is translation of these strings:
  • may be used on areas (and multipolygon relations)
  • should not be used on relations (except multipolygon relations)
which I changed in English and other translations are not complete now. maro21 20:59, 18 February 2024 (UTC)

Beschreibungen (description=) auf Seite und Data Item

Guten Abend!

Kjon (talk) 15:44, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
Tag:leisure=swimming_pool#How to map. --Hufkratzer (talk) 22:13, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

Right edit?

If delete |group=Public transport, replace this => |group=Veřejná doprava and/or delete |group=Railways, replace this |group=Železnice OR not delete. thx.--HaPe-CZ (talk) 13:37, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

But that is exactly what I did... Kjon (talk) 17:06, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
You didn't. The items have been ONLY DELETED. I made a new addition and corrected your action. The next case will be reported to an administrator with a suggestion to block you. Reason: removal of content - vandalism. --HaPe-CZ (talk) 17:22, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
HaPe-CZ please refrain from such judgments and threats. No one will be blocked, and certainly not Kjon, because there was no vandalism here. It is ok to delete group when correcting it, on non-English pages, such as here. Kjon removed an incorrect group "railways" so that it was taken from data items. It's not a vandalism, we've been doing it for years. maro21 20:42, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
Sorry HaPe-CZ, but I don't understand what you mean. I changed four pages where the |group=* parameters pointed to a redirected category. By making sure each data item contained the right group parameter and by then removing the wrong |group=* parameter in the description template these pages are now placed in the correct category. I don't see any mistake here. Or are you suggesting to store the group information both in the data item as well as in the tag description template? Kjon (talk) 17:36, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
Items have been DELETED, not replaced. This is wrong. The content of the template is one thing and the ordering in the category is another. That the items are the same doesn't matter. Are you suggesting that all the words "OSM" be removed because one is enough? --HaPe-CZ (talk) 17:44, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
All four pages pull the group information from the data item, but ok HaPe-CZ, you made your point. There just isn't a need to be so rude. Kjon (talk) 18:15, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
I'm not rude, and kindly don't write this about me anymore. Then the question is where is the really rude and insulting to others. --HaPe-CZ (talk) 18:32, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

Incorrect use of the small edit tag.

Deleting (part of) the content of an article with a different author is NOT a small edit. Using the tag SMALL EDIT is then unjustified - fraud and deception. --HaPe-CZ (talk) 17:39, 8 May 2025 (UTC)

Please provide a link to the edition you are referring to. maro21 20:45, 10 May 2025 (UTC)
--HaPe-CZ (talk) 08:01, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
This was a technical edit and totally correct to mark it as a minor edit. Group is the same as category and changing categories is commonly marked as a minor edit. Kjon has been on the Wiki for 16 years and I assure you he knows what he's doing. Using words "fraud" or "deception" is inappropriate. maro21 22:51, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
Yes, it is important to evaluate by the time of activity and also by who the friend is. No one cares about reality. --HaPe-CZ (talk) 17:41, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

edit comments and minor edits

Danke --Chris2map (talk) 20:07, 3 August 2025 (UTC)

Item correction.

Hello editors. Please correct the description of the item https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Item:Q5030 in your national translation according to the revised description in English. Also correct the description of the item on the help page at wiki. Thank you. --HaPe-CZ (talk) 18:29, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
