It is #crapmapping week in Zabzugu. Everyone is welcome in OSM, no experience required, brains optional.
In this picture, workers have cut a swath through the forest and then erected power lines next to it. This helps them save on power poles as they can re-use the trees instead, of which they have many square patches. Canadians, eh!
The city of Riohacha in Colombia has slightly wonky road and building geometries, but compensates for that with a very orderly house numbering scheme.
Some areas are wetland, some are military, some are water - and any combination of the three. (Wouldn’t be surprised if there was an area both land and water at the same time.)
The variable tagging schema in OSM provides an outlet for struggling authors and people with alternative world views.
