Keith Urban helped one of the contestants on his series The Road improve her song about marriage during Sunday night's episode of his CBS/Paramount+ reality TV competition.

Despite just airing, the Oklahoma-set segment was taped long before the 58-year-old country crooner's estranged wife Nicole Kidman filed for divorce from him on September 30 following, 19 years of marriage.

Urban (born Urbahn) serves as executive producer and judge of The Road, during which he'll narrow down each of the 12 contestants with audience-voted concerts until the last one standing becomes his next opening act.

On Sunday, the four-time Grammy winner — who fans believe may have dropped hints about his impending split weeks before Kidman filed for divorce — suggested that Jenny Tolman sing her original song Married in a Honky Tonk in the key of C rather than G.

'Just to see what happens,' Urban advised. 'I mean, you may hate it immediately.'

The married mother-of-one replied: 'Listen, I love you and I'm not looking to spend any extra time with you in the bottom two tonight. So, whatever you think!'

Backstage, Tolman stressed: 'A key change this close to showtime is throwing quite a wrench into my plans. Nothing like Keith Urban telling you to raise your song a whole step right before the show!'

As Urban watched his pretty protégée sing higher onstage Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, he observed: 'The whole thing was so much better. Energy's in the room.'

And while Tolman considered it her 'best performance on tour yet' she was sent home by the end of the episode.

In an earlier episode, the Kiwi-born Australian confessed to fellow judge Blake Shelton that life on tour can make him feel 'completely lonely and miserable and sick' but admitted 'this is what I'm born to do.'

Urban will reportedly be spending 59 days of 2026 with their daughters Sunday and Faith while the 58-year-old Oscar winner is considered a 'primary residential parent' with 306 days of custody.

It's unclear how the former power couple will be handling the holiday season, not to mention Faith turning 15 on December 28.

'Their daughters live with Nicole, but spend as much time with Keith as they want,' the insider told People last Thursday. 'There is no drama.'

Urban and Kidman — who've been living apart 'since the beginning of summer' — were last publicly pictured together attending a FIFA Club World Cup match on June 20, not far from their $3.47M seven-bedroom marital mansion in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Hawaiian-born Australian previously adopted two children — daughter Isabella, 32; and son Connor, 30 — during her decade-long marriage to ex-husband Tom Cruise, which ended in 2001.

The Straight Line rocker famously completed a three-month rehab stint at the Betty Ford Center for cocaine and alcohol addiction shortly after marrying Kidman in 2006, which was only a year after they met at G'Day LA.

'[It nearly] blew our marriage to smithereens,' Urban recalled last year while presenting Kidman with the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award.

'Four months into a marriage, I'm into rehab for three months, with no idea what was going to happen to us. And if you want to see what love in action really looks like, give that a whirl. Nic pushed through every negative voice — I'm sure even some of her own — and she chose love, and here we are tonight, 18 years later.'

The exes will soon have to divide their substantial shared assets including a reported $282M real estate portfolio with homes in Australia, California, and New York.

Urban last made headlines for performing a cover of Chappell Roan's 2023 queer hit Pink Pony Club during Anthony Pratt's private holiday party held at Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, FL on November 16 with President Donald Trump in attendance.

Kidman last made headlines for getting 'arrested' for being 'too hot' by pop star Sabrina Carpenter during her Short n' Sweet Tour stop to the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver on November 4.

The Clé de Peau Beauté global brand ambassador has been in Canada for the last couple months reprising her role as CIA Clandestine Service supervisor Kaitlyn Meade in the third season of Paramount+ spy thriller, Special Ops: Lioness.

Meanwhile, the Heart Like a Hometown rocker is next scheduled to perform aboard the Top Shelf Country Cruise in Nassau, Bahamas, on March 2.
