A very familiar view for anyone who ascends to the Top of the Rock, and yet, it is a skyline that is so majestic and unique that there is never a dull moment to take in that view. This shot is a vertical panorama of 5 horizontal shots shot handheld amidst the crowd of people clicking selfies and group photos. It was a scene that happened shortly after sunset and you can see the lovely glow at the horizon. The thick cloud cover overhead made for a slightly stormy scene during the twilight hours aka the Blue Hour. The obvious stars of this scene are the city lights across Downtown Manhattan accentuated by the magnificent Empire State Building and the One World Trade Center building in the distance, both being two of the most iconic buildings in the US.
