How to ask for directions to el baño in Spanish

  • Perdone, ¿dónde están los servicios? = Excuse me, where is the restroom? (formal, Spain) 
  • Es la primera puerta a la derecha. = It’s the first door on the right.

While visiting your friend’s home in Mexico City, you might need to ask where the bathroom is. Keep in mind that each floor is numbered with the ground floor as level “0” and the next level up could be called the primera planta (first floor/second floor).
