ADCC has just changed the landscape of professional grappling once again, as the promotion has just signed a multi-year deal to stream exclusively on UFC Fight Pass instead of their traditional home of FloGrappling. Seeing as UFC Fight Pass also already had the rights to stream a huge number of professional grappling shows like Polaris, EBI, Medusa, Quintet, and Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds, it may very well become the new home of grappling and take a spot in broadcasting that previously belonged to FloGrappling.
The UFC has an incredible commentary team available for use in many of their events and they have access to a whole roster of MMA veterans, many of whom have a high level BJJ knowledge and would no doubt love to work an epic event like ADCC 2024. One element that no doubt would have appealed to ADCC organizers is the fact that UFC Fight Pass have also recently established a Brazilian commentary team as well. Not only does this allow for the potential of dual-language streams, but it’s also headed up by one of the keenest minds in grappling in Demian Maia.
It’s unclear as yet exactly how many years the exclusive streaming deal with UFC Fight Pass will last, but it has been confirmed as lasting at least until the 2024 ADCC World Championships. Every single one of the ADCC Trials leading up to the event will be available to stream, as will the new ADCC Open competitions as well. The streaming deal is great news for both fans and competitors alike, namely because the UFC Fight Pass subscription is significantly cheaper than FloGrappling. Additionally, streaming the new slate of ADCC Open competitions will allow competitors to access even more footage of either themselves or their potential opponents.
