My Old Friend Delirious

The flashing lights burned themselves into my eyes. The Crowd was a blur nearby, some I knew, most were strangers wanting answers. All I could think about was the scene that unfolded in front of me earlier. All I could see was the two body bags the Police carried out of a home. My home. After that sight I felt it was necessary to keep my head cascaded down. To keep them from getting what they wanted. A reaction. All I could hear was the shouting of the two cops in front of me trying to keep the crowd back. in that moment I felt that I should've felt upset or angry wanting revenge. But that's not how I felt, I felt numb. Yet held one emotion on my face and the red and blue lights burned it's way onto my skin like a never ending sunburn. Though the burned image in my head of my parents in pieces was just a reminder of who I was. The sight at first was traumatic, but as I slowly memorized the dropping blood and the lifeless dead eyes, a smile grew on my face. So sinister and cold yet young, the smile was wide and wicked. Though I felt happy during death, it was my one flaw. And my friend agreed with it especially since he knew it would make me smile. The death of my parents made me overjoyed especially when I did it with my best friend. Delirious.
