Preservation Information
IPS staff provides assistance with preservation questions.
Preservation staff can help answer your questions, send you information,
or put you in touch with appropriate resources. Call IPS toll-free, send
a fax, e-mail or letter. IPS maintains a lending library of videos and
publications, as well as bibliographies, informational leaflets, and
articles that can be sent to you at no charge.

Disaster Planning and Recovery
For immediate guidance in the event of an emergency, call the Amigos Imaging & Preservation Service (IPS) for information, referrals to local resources, and on-site assistance. Amigos offers assistance before, during, and after an emergency. IPS staff members are available to assist your institution with planning activities and recovery from damage caused by various emergency situations, including natural disasters.

Training
IPS conducts preservation workshops and presentations held
throughout the region on a variety of preservation topics. These
workshops are also available "on-request" for a particular institution,
organization, or region for a reasonable fee. Presentations on various
preservation topics are also available upon request at minimal or no
cost for an organization. IPS is a regular presenter at state library
association conferences and library school programs throughout the
region. Please see below for a listing of current workshops.
Site Survey Consultations
IPS consulting services conducts comprehensive site surveys that
include analysis of building structure and environment, storage and
exhibit areas, collection condition, and preservation management.
