The concept of endowment:
Endowment is the preservation of the principal and the utilization of its benefits. It is considered a permanent donation and an ongoing charity that a person establishes during their lifetime. It is always a form of charity, and the individual donates it in their lifetime to be spent on various charitable purposes. Its rewards continue if God wills, increasing the benefit and the continuous reward for the benefactor, ensuring the ongoing expenditure on what it is designated for.
And endowment is the true charitable investment that you pay in this world for it to elevate you in the Hereafter. Islam encouraged endowment to the point where some scholars said that no companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him) existed without having established one.
The idea of the (Kindness to Parents) endowment:
The concept of this endowment is based on locking the endowment's funds as the principal, which starts with 300 Kuwaiti Dinars. The principal is invested, and the organization spends from its proceeds on the purposes of this endowment.
The goal of this endowment is to create a permanent source of contribution to support various projects whose rewards return to the parents with kindness and to the benefactor. It is one of the comprehensive endowments for the poor and others in all forms of goodness and charity. It allows flexibility in addressing human needs according to priorities, making continuous and diverse rewards for the benefactor, the parents, and all charitable works.
The Quran says: 'And say, 'My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.'' (Quran, Surah Al-Isra, 17:24).
And Allah says: 'And worship Allah and do not associate with Him anything and to parents do good...' (Quran, Surah An-Nisa, 4:36).
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge (that he left behind) from which people may benefit, and a righteous child who prays for him.' (Sahih Muslim).
Through this endowment, it becomes easy for every benefactor to contribute to supporting various charitable projects as an act of kindness to their parents, a continuous charity on their behalf, and a means to increase blessings."
