any company that an effective vision and mission statement be established for the company as it
is a new business. To be successful in this market, it must know what the business is about and
what the business wants to achieve in there future. Tough (2009) says, “Developing a vision and
mission statement is a way of articulating these ideas to yourself, your customers, employees and
to the world.” The vision and mission statements include the values of the company and how
they plan to operate. All of these items will help to determine the strategic direction that Stevens
dream a reality. Stevens Landscaping plans to make the world beautiful with one yard at a time.
The company is here to help with landscaping and lawn maintenance. Can will be able to
schedule a weekly time to have his or her yard maintenance taken care of including grass cutting,
weed disposal, and maintenance of there flower beds. Stevens Landscaping has a weed and
insect repelling products that are economically friendly and safe for pets. In the winter months
Stevens Landscaping will do snow removal for both residentential and commercial properties.
The goal of Stevens Landscaping is to make the customer happy and to make the world look
better.
Stevens Landscaping “you will have the best looking lawn on the street guaranteed.” This is
our vision here at Stevens Landscaping. The company wants every customer to enjoy the beauty
of a healthy lawn. Green grass and beautiful flowers, the yard of our customers are the envy of
there neighbor. Consumers may not always have the time and dedication that it takes to keep a
healthy lawn this is where we come in. it is very important to give back to our earth, with all the

pollution on earth. If everyone would plant one tree it would really help the environment a great
deal.
Stevens Landscaping has a huge responsibility to the economy that they take very seriously.
This company only uses economically friendly products that are safe for the environment, pets
and humans. The company takes pride in planting many trees to improve the atmosphere her on
earth. Stevens Landscaping values there customers to the highest degree. Customer’s thoughts
and idea’s are always welcome and we appreciate there idea’s. Stevens Landscaping only hires
people who care’s about the environment. Our employee’s treat every customer and there

that our company wants to achieve. With a vision statement employees can take pride in
knowing that he or she will help to make every customer feel like they have the most beautiful
lawn on the street. Our mission helps with the strategic direction because it states what the
company plans to do and wants to do. Stevens Landscaping provides superior products and
services at a great price so that the consumer can have a good looking lawn with out us doing the
work. Stevens landscaping values their work ethics, they do the job the right way the first time.
By participating in different environmental projects the company can put their name out there.
BY doing this it shows the customers that the company cares about the environment and not just

not be a company. The company always tries to address the needs of our customers by offering a
wide selection of products and services. A lot of our customers enjoy getting out in the yard and

doing there own yard work, but have no idea on what kind of product to use when killing weeds
and planting new grass seed. Stevens Landscaping can go to the customer’s homes and to take a
look at weeds to identify what product to use to kill them along with how much and what type of
grass seed that will be needed. That is how the company can achieve competitive advantage. It is
very rare for a landscaping company to go to a customer’s home to help them in selecting the
right products. The company also takes into consideration any ideas or thoughts that the
customers may offer. Customer’s loyalty is something that every company should strive for
because loyal customers will recommend to his or her friends and family if they are satisfied.
Our goal is to make sure that every customer is happy and satisfied.
With having a clearly defined vision and mission statement Stevens Landscaping can teach
consumers and employees what they are about. Employees will take pride in working for a
company that has a purpose and they strive to fulfill that purpose. Consumers do like to see a
business take action not just talk about it, especially when it concerns items that would benefit
more than just themselves. Possessing values and a strong work ethic is also very important to
consumers. All of these aspects that I have mentioned will help guide a company in a strategic
direction which will allow the company to grow. Stevens Landscaping always tries to address all
of the customers needs so they can gain a competitive advantage and to keep our customers
loyalty.
