Earthquake Load Parameters

The document provides seismic load parameters for structural analysis software input. It specifies an importance factor of 1.0, soil profile type SD, seismic source type A, near-source factors of 1.5 and 2, earthquake resistance factors of 5.5 in the X and Z directions, and a period coefficient of 0.0448. These parameters will be used to model seismic loads in the structural analysis.

SEISMIC LOAD PARAMETERS

(for STAAD Input)

Zone = 4 Importance Factor ( I ) = 1.0 (Standard Occupancy)

Soil Profile Type = SD, 4(staad) *Assume SD, stiff soil, when soil type not known

Seismic Source Type = A Nearness Factors, Na & Nv

Na = 1.5 (Assume maximum
Nv = 2 case scenario)
Earthquake Force Resistance Factor:
Rw in X Direction (RWX) = 5.5
Rw in Z Direction (RWZ) = 5.5

Period Coefficient
Ct = 0.0448
