CAD CAM DEPARTMENT:

With OptiTex PDS pattern Design Software, input of existing data into OptiTex is quick and
easy. All subtle details of hard copy patterns will be maintained. Digitizing of tight curves is
accurate and easy, with few points. Digitizing of complicated pieces takes seconds and can be
made at any time.

Pattern Design System (PDS) offers intuitive and powerful textile software tools designed for
drafting new patterns or editing existing pattern pieces

MERCHANDISING DEPARTMENT:
The main role of a garments merchandiser is to collect garments export order (Export
l/c).Produce the garments, export the garments and earn profit. To perform those functions
successfully needs lot of knowledge, experience and tremendous effort for a merchandiser.
What type of knowledge and experience needed for a garment merchandiser?
Lab Dips:
It is the merchandiser’s responsibility to get the Lab dips from the processing mill and to get
approval from buyer.

There are different matching systems followed in Labs. They are

Tube light matching.

Sun light matching.

Ultra Violet matching.

Sodium light matching (show room).

Each of these above matching will give different results. For example, if a lab dip matches to the
original in tube light, it will differ in sun light. So the lab dips are to be made according to the
buyer’s matching system.

Different buyers follow different matching. Hence before proceeding lab dips, merchandiser
should be aware of the buyer’s matching system. Accordingly he should arrange to make lab
dips

Cutting Section:
ABA Group has large cutting section room. I made this report on the base on factory purpose
and some book .Without this reference I never made this assignment. There is all process of
Fabric Cutting section

Inspection of fabric
Fabric is the main raw material of garments. So it is essential to ensure fabric quality before it
reaches Cutting Section of garments factory, otherwise defective fabric may result in disruption
of production and delivery of garments on time. Garments produced with defective fabric may
lead to colossal cost to the company and may cause production of stock-lots. It is a good
practice to inspect fabric in the premise of the fabric producer. This enables quick replacement
of defective fabric. Still re-inspection of at the delivery point to the store of a garment factory is
urgent.

SEWING SECTION:
Before starting the sewing production have to PM check about the materials that are required
to sew. For an example, to sew we need cut pieces (fabric), sewing machine, thread, label,
button, work force etc. so a PM make sure himself that all are in his hand. When all are in his
hand, then PM organize the floor by his efficiency. Then PM input the cut bundles in sewing line.
This is the Arrangement & organization of inputs processes in ABA Fashion.
