The proposed name of the business, "L'Pacioli Food Hub", was
inspired by Fra Luca Bartolomeo de Pacioli, an Italian mathematician,
Franciscan friar, collaborator with Leonardi da Vinci, and an early
contributor to the field of accounting. He is referred to as "The Father of
Accounting and Bookkeeping." As BSA students, it was a great privilege
to use his name to honor the one who described the system of double-entry
bookkeeping, as well as, BSA students wants to connect their actions and
feat with their roots, the accounting field. Furthermore, we add the term
"food hub" as it was an aggregation of products such as desserts, snacks,
tidbits, and beverages.

III. MARKETING ANALYSIS

During this time of pandemic, the demand for primary needs such as food arise

rapidly. Several food businesses established their own online shops to continue their

business in a social distancing manner. These businesses provide lunch, dinner, dessert,

snacks, and any other types of foods. Based on the facts provided, online selling is

considered the new normal. L' Pacioli Food Hub will take this idea into consideration as

for it is the most efficient way in starting a business.

Competitors are inevitable in the field of business whether online or actual

selling. Moreover, because of the rapid growth of technology almost everyone has access

to the internet especially during this time. Everyone can establish a business online

because of its easy accessibility. Large number of competitors will always be a given,

however as stated earlier it is inevitable. Providing a good quality product and service

will make our business unique from everyone else.

4|Page
Employees need to remain healthy for a business to continue. This means, for

example, introducing distancing measures, changing personal protective equipment (PPE)

requirements, regularly wiping down equipment and surfaces, limiting visitors, and

changing delivery protocols. Everyone must learn new protocols and be encouraged to

report suspected or confirmed illnesses in friends and family, if they have been in recent

contact and require quarantining. Businesses may also face supply shortages.

Contingency plans should be reviewed to determine if alternate sources or substitutes

could be used when key supplies are no longer available but Food safety is still the

primary concern of all manufacturers, but this should now encompass measures to stop

the coronavirus. There is currently no evidence that the virus has been transmitted via

food or food packaging, but there is evidence that it can remain viable on certain surfaces

for a longer period of time. Normal food handling procedures should be sufficient to

combat COVID-19, so long as social distancing and other measures are followed.
