1. What do you understand by ARPANET? Which department funded them for research on
networks?
Ans: ARPANET stands for Advance Research Project Agency Network, was funded by
department of defence of USA in 1969.
Ans: ISP means Internet Service Provider. They provide us internet connection on chargeable
basis.
Ans: DNS stands for Domain Name Service. It is a program that runs on web server translating
the domain name into IP address.
