1. List two (2) entrepreneurs (not listed in 02 Handout 1) that made an impact on your
life, or the society. Explain how they made a difference, and how their idea would
affect the world if it did not exist.
One of the entrepreneurs that I have chosen is Ms. Glenda Dela Cruz Victorio, a
founder and CEO of Brilliant Skin Essentials Inc. She made an impact on me because she
works hard for the success that she experiences now. She starts her business from scratch, from a
home-based entrepreneur, she has now lot of warehouses and a company building with
employees. Her products transform the faces of its users from acne prone skin to a smooth and
glowing skin, they provide cheap but effective and good quality product that boost the user’s
self-confidence. Without her products maybe some of us now is searching up until now to the
product that can change their face in a cheap way yet effective.
Another entrepreneur that I have chosen is Bill Gates and Paul Allen who is the founder
of Microsoft Company. I am amazed of what they made, for me it is a smart idea to made an
application which can help almost all people like their Microsoft Applications. A lot of people
helped by this application from students to professionals. It is easy now to make a document,
excel, presentation and meeting for school works, job meeting and corporate files through the
help of their Microsoft Applications. Through this creation of them we are able to make files and
set-up a meeting in a minimal period of time. If this was not invented, many of us now are
struggling on how they can work smooth and easy and it will require people to exert a lot of
effort on preparing works.
2. In your opinion, how does value creation affect entrepreneurship?
In my opinion, value creation affects entrepreneurship in the way that value creation
helps the entrepreneurs to have a good marketing strategy to sell their goods and services. Also,
this also help to have a skilled employees and management that can deal with different problems
and issue that will arise. Value creation creates a good impact on businesses and in
entrepreneurship and also it contributes to the innovation and modernness of one’s business.
Without value creation, difficultness in solving issues, preparing strategies, selling goods and
even marketing will arise on a business.
3. Will you aspire to have a business that creates value for society? Or a business that
creates value for the shareholders? Why?
I will aspire to have a business that creates value for society, why? Simply because if we
care to others as an entrepreneur more people will encourage to choose our business over the
others. We as an entrepreneur must create a value not just for society but on all things also.
Providing a value creation will help us to be more pleasing on the eyes of our customers and this
will help us to sell and promote our products/services. This is now applied by different small to
medium entrepreneurs to help their business to grow and innovate. Because in the end, society
and people is the one who can help our business to become successful and to continue its
operation.
