1- Calculate the distances and time between the locations mentioned on the tracking statement:

 From ROGERS, MN to HAGERSTOWN, MD :

Distance: 1,718.78 kilometers / Time: 2 days aftter pick- up with a pause at Fedex location

 From HAGERSTOWN, MD to NORTH WALES, PA :

Distance : 283.24 kilometers / Time : 5h :30

 From NORTH WALES, PA to VALLEY FORGE, PA :

Distance : 25.75 kilometers / Time : 5h :30

2- Identify the role that each leg of the journey plays (e.g. pick-up, line haul, delivery, etc.).
 Pick- up : Collect the goods from shipper and transport it to Fedex location for treatment.
 line haul : Follow an identified line in which the cargo is reated at Fedex location for each city in
order to be delivered to the nexet city by track , vehicule ….ect
 Delivery : Deliver the cargo to the requested localization (VALLEY FORGE, PA in our Example )
and have the receiver sign to close the operation,

3- Identify the mode of transportation that is likely used.

origin and destination).

There were 03 Lines btween the Origin : ROGERS, MN and destination VALLEY FORGE, PA in
wich the Cargo is stoped for treatement at Fedex location of each city of the three in order to be
transported to the next line,

5- Analyze the efficiency of the routing (e.g. why the company likely chose this routing)
The company used the routing which may have the most reduced amount of costs , using different
type of transportations depends on how many Kilometers from a city to an other ,

Train for long distance which is the solution the less expensive, then Track from a city to another
and finaly using Fedex Vehicule to deliver small cargos in the same city of location,

Fedex would chose the Plain if the Cargo is transported from a country to another one then the
above transportation modes,

6- Express any areas of difficulty.

Difficulties maybe found From ROGERS, MN to HAGERSTOWN, MD since Fedex needs to keep
cargo on location for a quite long period until next line is clear.

7- Reflect on what you learned in this assignment.

I learn that we need to have divercity iin transportation and lines in which we can ensure the less
possible charges for Shipping lines and companies.
