Guidelines for Internship Report

A. Internship Report Format


I. Cover Page (Attached at the end of this guideline)

II. Letter of Transmittal (this letter contains the information about the
submission of the Final Report to the World School of Business. Page no. has to
be in Roman Form; ex. I, II / i, ii. Put double space between heading and content)

III. Approval Page (Page no. has to be in Roman Form; ex. I, II / i, ii. Put double
space between heading and content)

IV. Letter of Endorsements by the Supervisor (Put double space between


heading and content)

V. Acknowledgment (Expression of thanks to the people, to the company and


others who have made invaluable contribution to the completion of this report.
Page no. has to be in Roman Form; ex. I, II / i, ii. Put double space between
heading and content)

VI. Executive Summary (This is the recap of the report or study highlighting the
important and significant features of the study. Not more than 500 words, page
no. in Roman Form; ex. I, II / i, ii. Put double space between heading and content)

VII. Table of Contents (should be in decimal form e.g. numbering before each
content)

VIII. Body of the Report

Chapter 1: Introduction (Must start from page 1)

1.1 Background (Profile of the Organization/Company- not more than 5 pages)


1.2 Rationale (Why are you interested to undertake this report? What is the
importance of this report?)
1.3 Objectives (What are your objectives/purposes you intend to attain or
achieve in this report? Ex. To describe the various practices of the company
in dealing with the clients; to find out how issues and problems are resolved
by the management; etc.)

1.4 Methodology (Describe how you gathered information for preparing the
report)
1.5 Limitations
Chapter 2: Terms and Terminology Related to the Internship
(Provide appropriate terms and terminology related to internship. You must avoid
cut/ copy and paste to taking text from another source (unless it is a direct quote
and you reference it).
Chapter 3: Management practices and working environment of the organization
(Briefly discuss the management practices and working environment you have
observed/experienced in the organization, such as organizational structure and
management policy, recruitment and selection process, training and development
process, employee benefits and working culture)
Chapter 4: Activities Undertaken

(Narrative discussion of the activities you undertook in relation to the report. These
activities can be focused on the assigned task by the organization or any interest
about the whole organization.)

Chapter 5: Constraints/Challenges
(Issues and Problems encountered and identified during the internship affiliation
with the organization/company.)

preparation /major to the present assignment and future job requirements of
the organization)
5.3.1 Any missing knowledge and skills that need to be learned in the university
which are relevant to the company or to oneself as future professional.

(Explain the valuable lessons/knowledge /skills/behavior/practices you have


learned or acquired during your internship.)

Font Size : 12

Alignment : Justified

Margin Spacing : 1.5 (left), 1.0 (other than left)

Page Number : Put page number at the bottom right corner of every page

Binding : 1 (one) spiral binding before presentation

3 (three) hard copy binding (black cover) after


presentation (including one CD writing)
