Chipping Work Manually

This document provides a risk assessment for chipping work conducted manually at a civil location. It identifies two basic job steps: 1) making safe access and 2) chipping work by manually. For each step, potential hazards are identified along with their potential consequences. Current control measures are described to mitigate the risks. The risks are then rated based on probability and severity both initially and residual after controls. Key controls include use of fall protection like harnesses and railings for working at heights, and use of protective equipment like masks, gloves and goggles to mitigate dust and flying materials.
