is a government-owned and controlled corporation attached to


the Department of Health (DOH) which was created in
December 7, 1997 per Republic Act No. 8423, otherwise known
as the Traditional and Alternative Medicine Act (TAMA) of 1997
authored by Senator Juan M. Flavier.
REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
“Reproductive health is defined as a state of physical, mental,
and social well-being in all matters relating to the reproductive system, at all stages
of life” (Galvez Tan, et al., 2009).

Reproductive health is crucial for it paves the way for your social and economic
development. Furthermore, it has also a great influence in the health of the next
generation. The health of newborn children will be dependent on the health of the
parents, particularly the mother.
REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH

To aid the reproductive health needs of the citizens, the


government mandated the RA 10354 or most commonly
known as the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive
Health Act.

The main reasons why adolescents engage on premarital sex would be the
