Mohamed Hadid article

[edit]

Hi, a clear consensus on whether we should include Mohamed Hadid's national identity (Palestinian) in the article's infobox is needed. A relevant discussion can be found here. Thanks in advance! Thedarkknightli (talk) 00:16, 20 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, there's an ongoing dispute over whether we should explain his Palestinian identity in the lead, which can be seen on the same thread. Thanks in advance! Thedarkknightli (talk) 17:26, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nahlah Ayed

[edit]

Could a subject matter expert from this project take a look at Nahlah Ayed and determine if the latest edits by Doubter205 are valid or if they should be reverted. Thank you. 176.108.139.1 (talk) 18:07, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

There was a new template made about Hamas last year, what should be in it? Please comment on Template talk:Hamas history Huldra (talk) 21:06, 2 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'd appreciate more eyes on this discussion regarding the creation of an article about Tufts University grad student Rümeysa Öztürk, who was recently detained by the DHS. Funcrunch (talk) 18:10, 3 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Palestinian solidarity

[edit]

Currently, there is no article on the global pro-Palestinian movement. This seems like a notable omission. Perhaps a title such as International pro-Palestinian activism, Palestinian solidarity movement, or simply Palestinian solidarity might work? Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 11:56, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, due to some kind of mistake in the past, English, unlike more sensible languages, allows both upper and lower case letters - Palestine Solidarity Movement. Sean.hoyland (talk) 15:29, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Bohemian.
Interesting I also can’t see an equivalent article on the global anti-apartheid movement re South Africa. Onceinawhile (talk) 17:49, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. I noticed that as well and previously added a note on the South African WikiProject about that. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 21:39, 12 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Bohemian Baltimore: how about Palestinian cause?
Whatever the title, one of the most valuable elements of such an article would be a clear explanation on its popularity in the context of the many other geo-political conflicts of our age. Onceinawhile (talk) 12:02, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Onceinawhile There's also an article titled Palestinianism, but it isn't about the global pro-Palestinian movement. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 14:46, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You are invited to participate in The World Destubathon. It's currently planned for June 16-July 13, partly due to me having hayfever during that period and not wanting to run it throughout July or August in the hotter summer and will be run then unless multiple editors object. There is currently $3338 going into it, with $500 the top prize. As 250 countries and entities is too much to patrol, entries will be by user, but there is $500 going into prizes for editors covering the most countries. Sign up if interested! ♦ Dr. Blofeld
