Donald Sutherland, who plays President Snow, arrives at the Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 premiere at Odeon Leicester Square in London.
Donald Sutherland doesn’t think that his Hunger Games: Mockingjay character is actually a villain.
“I think he’s a really good guy, I really do, he’s a bureaucrat,” Sutherland clarified while on Good Morning America on Wednesday. “He’s an oligarch. We have them here.”
He asked for the role in the franchise because “I wanted to end my life being part of something that I thought would maybe catalyze and revolutionize young people because they have been so dormant. This election, it was the lowest voter representation in 72 years. Young people have to get out, you have to get out and change things, you really do. It’s up to you. We’ve wrecked this world and if you’re gonna fix it, you’ve gotta do it now.?”

He continued to a thrown-off Lara Spencer, “If I can just see young people catalyze and go to the voting booth and have some kind of a revolutionary movement — not an armed revolutionary movement but a revolutionary movement, that would change things up.”
