Letter from Mr. Hazlett

Dear RHS Seniors,
You have made a difference! As a class, you have challenged yourselves and embraced
the idea that being a part of a caring community of learners is something special. It is
my sincere hope that you will make the most of the education and experiences that you
have gained over the past four years to find happiness and success after high school.
Whatever your future holds, you will always be a part of the RHS community and the
imprint you have left on RHS will help future students find success and continue to
build on traditions that you have helped establish.
High School is a small part of the entirety of your lives, but is incredibly impactful
in helping you develop your sense of self and confidence to move on to the next phase of
your life. There have been ups and downs as there will be in the future, but with a strong
work ethic, support from others, and sense of determination everything will be fine.
We will miss you, but are also very hopeful that the years ahead will be even better for
you as you are prepared to face the challenges ahead. Thank you for all you have done
for our school and for each other. You are the first class that was ready to help create
an environment where all are welcome and all are valuable. We Are Roosevelt. We Are
One. This is true for ever. You are a part of this community and we are better because
you have been here. Good luck and remember that you are always a part of RHS. Thank
you for your effort and imprint you have left on the community of RHS.

Sincerely,
RHS Principal

The Nationalist Staff reflections

Reflections from our senior staff

Miranda Kelly
The first day I walked down the halls
of RHS back in 2013, I had no idea the
drama, the heartache, the knowledge,
the friendships I would encounter. My
freshman year I wasnt really involved in
much, and I wanted to keep it that way.
But clearly life had a different plan for me.
My sophomore year I joined the Collision
Student Ministry, which meets everyday
of the school week, along with Guitar
Club and Art Club. My junior year I was
pretty much set up for failure, between all
my clubs, my new job at Cherry Berry,
and my Accelerated Precalc class, there
was no way for this to end well for me.
Finally, Senior year arrived and I added
my school newspaper, The Nationalist,
to my already crazy schedule; my days
seemed to never end. I wish this year are down, to encourage others to never and the music playing during the 5
