Hot work is any activity or process that generates a source of ignition, this could be
through a flame heat or spark. Example: Burning, welding, Cutting, Brazing, Soldering,
Grinding, Using
fire or spark producing tools.

Cold work activities that will not produce sufficient energy to ignite flammable
atmospheres or combustible materials. Example: 1.Removing or disturbing asbestos

The workers can be educated about safe work rules and procedures, and their awareness

Remove all combustible materials from the area (with in 10m), if possible.
Use fire blanket to protect immovable combustible materials and also for welding slugs.
Cover the area with fire blanket for containment of sparks generated while doing hot
work.

Appoint a fire-watch with red jacket, if necessary.
