(NSTP) LAW -REPUBLIC ACT 9163
•is a program aimed at enhancing
•civic consciousness
•and defense preparedness
•in the youth by developing
•the nationalism
•& patriotism
REMINDER TO ALL INCOMING COLLEGE
STUDENTS.
•Who are covered by the NSTP Law? All
students, male and female, starting SY 2002-
2003,
•Enrolled in any baccalaureate (4) year and in at
least two (2) year technical-vocational or
associate course
•IT IS A REQUIREMENT FOR GRADUATION
THE NSTP COURSE/SUBJECT
•NSTP 11
•A classroom Instruction, Lectures & Activities
•concerning society and environmental issues, and
the fundamentals of working with the community
in their project development.

•is devised as a strategy in molding and


‘conscientizing’ students
•so that they may be socially aware and
responsible to their communities .
WHAT CONDITIONS MAY QUALIFY ONE TO
GO INTO COMMUNITY IMMERSION?

•Students enrolled in NSTP-CWTS 2 are


mandated to undergo community
immersion
•for a period covering a minimum of 54
hours to a maximum of 90 hours

OFF-CAMPUS ACTIVITIES ARE COVERED IN
THIS POLICIES AND GUIDELINES?
• Curricular ACTIVITIES:
• (a) Educational Tours/Field Trips in Culture and Arts related
activities such as visits to museums, cultural sites, landmarks and
other related venues; or plant industry visit
• Non-Curricular ACTIVITIES:
• (a) volunteer work including peer helper programs, relief
operations, community outreach and community
immersion;
DOCUMENTS TO BE PREPARED/NEEDED
BEFORE GOING TO IMMERSION
•Secure a parent waiver from the NSTP Office
prior to the visit and have it signed by your
parents/guardian & it should be notarized,
•There must be an NSTP faculty/instructor
ALWAYS PRESENT in going to the respective
community for immersion.
DOCUMENTS TO BE PREPARED/NEEDED
BEFORE GOING TO IMMERSION
•Secure documents like a letter of
acceptance/permission from the chosen
community where your immersion is
conducted.
•Wear proper uniforms and identification
card.

•Contribution of P100.00 pesos each
student for the cost of immersion
