Read the text below and identify one (1) positive message and one (1)
negative message that you can get out of it.

Filipinos are known for being sentimental. This trademark can be


observed usually in their celebrations. For instance, in celebrating
weddings, one can notice that Filipinos are very cautious with every
detail. While it’s good that they are very hands on and careful at the
things they do during weddings, they too have the tendency to overdo
things. Filipinos too are usually in the game of outdoing each, an attitude
that often results to pressure and overspending in attempt to make the
wedding celebrations better that the others.

Directions: Read the texts below and write one sentence that conveys a
positive idea and another sentence that presents a negative message
presented in the said passage and determine what type of negative or

1. Every child deserves a healthy start since healthy children are likely to
have a happy and successful in life. However, there are far too many
starving children in Africa for whom hunger is a constant, chronic pain.

stunted growth due to malnutrition. Stunting prevents children from
developing to their full potential mentally and physically, and it is largely
